PES 2015: Gamescom Press Release

Konami kicking of Gamescom in style and lets hope it continues through the event, below we have the latest press release talking about the on-field focus and details about some of the modes.

‘The Pitch is Ours!’ – KONAMI reveals full content list for PES 2015. On-field focus supported by stunning modes and online and offline advances

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced full details of the many additions it has made to the forthcoming PES 2015. With the publisher previously announcing its intent to elevate the game’s on-field realism to all-new levels, it has now confirmed PES 2015 both on and offline.

‘The pitch is ours’ is the ethos that dominates PES 2015. Through the combined efforts of the Tokyo and Windsor-based PES Productions team, the aim has been to recreate the drama and tension associated with a vital match. PES 2015 marks a concerted return to core PES values of total control, utterly responsive controls and unrestricted gameplay, where the user has complete control over how they play. Evert pass, shot or run is finely balanced to give maximum player satisfaction within PES 2015’s on-field action.

By looking at key facets of modern football, the PES Productions Team has completely reworked how the game performs key sections. The shooting and goal-keeping mechanics benefit from a new system that allows precise aim and control over a shot’s power and also unlimited shot styles. Similarly, the ‘ keepers intuitively close angles and are capable of an amazing number of ways to react to any situation. Passing and the final ball to the front line has also been expanded, allowing for little knock-ons and powerful daisy-cutter passes that use new physics routines to ensure the ball realistically behaves as it would. Close control also steps up a gear, with the player governing both the positioning of a player, but with greater options of how to dribble into space or beat your marker.

Key On-Field Advances:

· Incredible Response Times: Lightning fast controls allows users to instinctively react to every movement when the ball is in play

· On The Ball Abilities : Take on defenders using each player’s bespoke dribbling skills, as opposed to relying on ‘trick’ moves. New skills include Close control, responsive sprint and incorporating a much wider range of pace - from walking to sprinting

· Case for Defence: Users have complete control over when to close down, tackle, or hold up play. Successful defending is based entirely on the decisions the user makes

New Generation Highlights

· Behavioural Patterns: PES 2015 now boasts a huge array of players that both look and play like their real-life counterparts. KONAMI has faithfully recreated over 1000 players this year, with bespoke animations and playing styles across its extensive player roster. Teams automatically adopt their real-life game plan, whether it is counter-attacking, out wide, or defensively minded. They run like they should, play the way they do in real life, and react emotionally as they would to fouls, goals or referee decisions – with their frame of mind actually affecting how they play!

· Poetry in Motion: The individuality of the players is further enhanced with seamless animations. No sacrifice to animation has been made in the pursuit of fast response, yet the movements flow effortlessly calculated in real-time and dependent on the player’s position in relation to the ball and its speed. Player models themselves are also carefully enhanced.

· Bring the Noise: PES 2015 mirrors the atmosphere of a top-flight match. The crowd animations have been hugely enhanced, and the ebb and flow of a match is met with context-sensitive crowd effects and movements.

· Let There Be Light: All in-game elements from players to crowd and stadium now benefit from a single source of lighting naturally bringing the game to life

PES ID Advances:

· PES ID: Teams are set up to play as they do in real-life, while their star players will work within this framework, but will be instantly recognisable via their runs and playing styles. The world’s greatest teams will not just move and find space like they would in real life. They will defend or attack like them automatically

· Realistic Abilities: While the world’s greatest players are indeed capable of moments of incredible skill, PES 2015 focuses on their abilities as a player and not their flicks and tricks. Beating a man using pace and close control is key to attacking play, and only those that can will get away with rainbow flicks will. And, even then, not every time…

All-New Modes:

· myClub: Demanded by fans of the series, an extensive Master League Online overhaul allows players and managers to be added using accumulated GP points or via micro-transactions within club dealings. Agents are now used to meet player requirement criteria, while unhappy players can upset the balance of a side to detrimental effect. Team Sprit plays a key role, as the compatibility of the manager between the player, players with other teammates creates better teamwork impacted the on field performances

· Live Updates : Weekly DLC updates will constantly update transfers and team line-ups across the English, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian leagues. Player data also updated based on current performances every week, so if a player is on a goal-scoring streak, his stats will be boosted accordingly in the update. Applied to online modes and optional within single-player mode

· Adaptable Match Environments: A good manager knows how to give his side every advantage. As manager, players can request the grass be left long to slow down short play, or watered to suit a passing style. You can tailor any part of your stadia to suit your bespoke needs

· Accurate Player Stats: The player parameter system for PES has been completely rebuilt, working with key community sites across the globe to create the most realistic player stats database.

· Second Divisions Added: PES 2015 features the second tier leagues from England, Spain, Italy and France for the first time in the series, vastly expanding the database of upcoming players to scout

· Role Control: Role Control allows three players to divide the defensive, midfield and attacking roles between them for more structured multi-player action. This new mode means players govern their selected area and adds a new cooperative slant to the game.

· Real Managers: In a first, real managers will feature in PES 2015 across a number of European and Latin American sides.

· New In-Game Currency: GP system integrated. Earned within new myClub mode and unlocked via in-game achievements

· Unlimited Edit Modes: Stadium editor is back with the combination choices available for: Pitch patterns, Side line colours, Seat colours and Goal net design to build your own home pitch. Other edit options includes Manager Editor, new player editing options and base copies for all players. To compliment the return of Stadium Editor, new licensed stadia have been added. Aesthetic details include depth of colour and worn patches to the pitch

Presentation Overhaul: Simpler, more effective menu system. PES 2015 also remembers your preferred modes for quicker access.

Online Modes:

· QuickMatch: Simpler ranking match-ups to speed up online games.

· Online Divisions : Accrue points in online matches across a season to aim for a promotion or face delegation.

· Dedicated 11v11 Lobbies: Makes large-scale multi-player games more fluid and easy to set up.

· Cheat Measures: New courtesy system introduced to reduce online cheating.

Additional Improvements:

· Master League: Revised structure for player growth, transfers, managers and auto-match settings. New cut-scenes and National Super Cups implemented.

· Become A Legend: Training modes enhanced, specific BaL match simulations, new transfer and recruitment systems, including a second tier league.

· Weather: Rain has been implemented.

· Licensed Soundtrack: Featuring Cold War Kids , Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons and Avicii,

PES 2015 is scheduled for release for PlayStation®4, XboxOne, PlayStation®3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on November 13th. A free demo offering an tantalising taste of PES 2015’s on-field superiority will be available from September 17th on PlayStation®4, XboxOne, PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360.

PES 2015: Release Date + Demo Date

Konami have today confirmed the release date for PES 2015 which will be November 13th 2014, now this date is much later than what we are use to with the PES series, but it was said earlier this year that Konami will not be making the same mistake of releasing a unfinished game(Like PES 2014). Been a November release this gives them the time they feel is needed to put the game in the position they feel is best.

On to the demo date now and well the wait for the demo is significantly less, you can expect to be playing the PES 2015 demo on September 17th 2014.

That leaves a lot of time between the demo and full release, this could be key to making improvements from feedback given.

Stay tuned for loads more news.

PES 2015: Press Release

Konami have released the first press release for PES 2015 and you can read it all below, enjoy!

The Pitch is Ours!

KONAMI looks to the sheer drama, incredible skill, and big game moments of awe within its on-field focus for PES 2015 with the astounding high quality visual benefitting from the FOX engine – debuting on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced the first details for PES 2015, elevating its on-field realism to all-new levels as it recreates the heart-in-mouth feeling associated with being part of a crucial top-flight match.
“THE PITCH IS OURS…”

PES 2015 is centered on the mantra ‘the pitch is ours.’ Through the combined efforts of the Tokyo and Windsor-based PES Productions team, the heart-thumping and nail-biting moments of top-flight football have been perfectly recreated. PES 2015 sees a true return to core PES values of total control, super responsive controls and renowned gameplay, where the user has unrestricted control over how they play. KONAMI has completely reworked a raft of key elements to ensure every pass, shot or off-the-ball run is finely balanced to give maximum player satisfaction within PES 2015’s on-field action.

PES 2015 sees a true return to core PES values

By looking at 3 key tenets of the modern game, the PES Productions Team has completely reworked the in-game shooting and goal-keeping mechanics

• Excitement Of Goals

A new shooting system allows a variety of unrestricted shooting styles with precise control over the direction and power of all strikes. Countering enhanced attacking options, goal keepers intuitively close angles and are capable of an incredible number of ways to react to any situation, including altering centre of gravity.

• Final Pass

Likewise, passing options available to players when delivering a final pass have been expanded, allowing for little knock-ons or searing low passes that use new physics routines to ensure the ball behaves realistically across every situation, providing unique and differing outcomes decided by user actions.

• 1 on 1

The final key element that has been totally reworked centres around the degree of close control on offer. Positioning is vital, but the ability to dribble into space and beat your marker is now hugely improved and opens up PES 2015 as the definitive on-field experience.

These central features are then supported by additional elements to create the most entertaining and breath-taking match-day experience imaginable.

Lightning fast controls allow users to instinctively react to every movement

• Incredible Response Times: Lightning fast controls allow users to instinctively react to every movement when the ball is in play.

• Full Pitch AI: The game engine now features AI that is constantly adjusted covering everything that develops on the pitch, resulting in players making runs, finding space and marking opponents even when off the screen.

• Closest Control: Take on defenders using each player’s bespoke dribbling skills, as opposed to relying on ‘trick’ moves. New skills include jinking runs, responsive sprints and incorporating a much wider range of pace – from walking to sprinting.

• Case for Defence: Users have complete control over when to close down, tackle, or hold up play. Successful defending is based entirely on the decisions the user makes.
FOX ENGINE BENEFITS

Next-gen editions of PES 2015 also mark the first full implementation of Kojima Productions’ stunning FOX Engine within the PES franchise. Having debuted last year in an embryonic form, the power of the new wave of consoles has allowed a level of visual acuity and in-game advances that were previously impossible. All graphical features in-game from players, to crowd and stadium now benefit from a single source of real-time lighting naturally bringing the game to vivid next gen life

The power of the new wave of consoles has allowed a level of visual acuity and in-game advances that were previously impossible.

• Let There Be Light: Real-time lighting is used across the entire stadium, with the enhanced visuals bathed in the changing light of a changeable day or the stark glare of the floodlights at a night match
PES ID RETURNS:

The PES series has always centered on player realism: recreating their abilities and letting the user run riot with the world’s greatest stars. The FOX Engine-powered PES 2015 is as committed to this as ever, aiming to bring the best players and teams to vibrant life – recreating the playing styles of the world’s best sides and stars.

Only those that can will get away with rainbow flicks. And, even then, not every time…

• PES ID: Teams will be set up to play as they do in real-life, while their star players will work within this framework, but will be instantly recognisable via their runs and playing styles. The world’s greatest teams will not only move and find space like they would in real life, they will also defend or attack like them automatically.

• Balance of Play: Teams will automatically adopt their real-life counterparts’ game plan, whether it is counter-attacking, out wide, or defensively minded.

• Realistic Abilities: While the world’s greatest players are indeed capable of moments of incredible skill, PES 2015 focuses on their abilities as a player and not their flicks and tricks. Beating a man using pace and close control is key to attacking play, and only those that can will get away with rainbow flicks. And, even then, not every time…

With these key advances in place, however, KONAMI has not neglected the wide range of options users expect. With a wealth of new options and enhancements to established favourites set to debut in PES 2015.
KEY ADDITIONS:

• myClub: Extensive Master League Online overhaul allows players and managers to be added using accumulated GP or via micro-transactions within club dealings. Agents now used to meet player requirement criteria, while unhappy players can upset the balance of a side to detrimental effect. Extends to offline play.

Weekly data updates constantly adjust transfers and team line-ups

• Live Updates: Weekly data updates constantly adjust transfers and team line-ups in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian leagues. Player data is also updated based on current performances every week, so if a player is on a goal-scoring streak, his stats will be boosted accordingly in the update. Applied to all online modes and optional within single-player mode.

• Accurate Player Stats: The player parameter system for PES has been completely rebuilt, working with key community sites across the globe to create the most realistic player stats database.

• Adaptable Match Environments: Does your opponent prefer to play a passing game? Then tell the groundsman not to cut the grass so short. Or have it watered to speed up your team’s passing play. You can tailor any part of your stadia to suit your bespoke needs.
FURTHER DETAILS

In the coming months KONAMI will announce further details regarding game presentation, ball physics tied to weather conditions, new leagues, a revolutionary role control system, enhanced player and stadium edit modes, online systems and cheating technology, plus talk about improvements to existing modes such as Master League and Become A Legend.

PES 2015 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and additional formats during autumn/winter period of 2014.

PES 2015: The Pitch is Ours

Konami have released a teaser trailer ahead of the start of E3 for PES 2015 and set a date of June 25th for the Official gameplay first look.

Is this a clever move by Konami so PES doesn't fade into the background with loads of other announcements due at E3? or is it a bad move not showing more on the big stage?

You can watch the 30 second teaser below.

Bhatti: "UCL, ACL and Libertadores exclusive for a number of years"

Adam Bhatti, who is the PES European Community Manager, has confirmed through twitter that the UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores and Asian Champions League will continue to be exclusive for a number of years for the Pro Evolution Soccer series.

Europa League is properly a part of the exclusive license too but it is still not confirmed yet. Konami managed to secure a four -year deal on November 9, 2008 for the UEFA Champions League tournament. The tournament got its debut on PES 2009 as a separate mode. The year after it also became a part of the Master League. Since the deal ended with PES 2012, Konami has managed to extend the deal by a year every year since the four-year deal ended. Since then Copa Libertadores license got secured too and this year Asian Champions League got its debut.

Whether Adam Bhatti's confirmation of a number of years exclusivity could mean a new long term deal is unknown. The exclusivity is crucial if Konami wants to compete with EA sports FIFA which is clearly ahead when it comes to licenses such as Bundesliga and Primer League which isn't licensed in PES. The big club tournaments would definitely become a huge advantage for Konami.

Stay tuned for more news on PESKings.
